A staff meeting regarding enjoyable activities to teach spelling, punctuation and grammar. This pack provides all resources needed for an hour-long staff meeting about activities to use in class for teaching spelling, punctuation and grammar. Your staff team will look at examples of SPaG questions from SATs, reflect about the SPaG requirements for their year group and how they have been covered, complete a grammar terminology activity, take part in whole group grammar activities and then try out several fun grammar activities on their tables. I delivered this meeting to a large staff team and received a round of applause! This resource consists of spelling lists for reception to year 6. The lists are also presented in a precision teaching grid format. To make this resource, I referred to the common exception word lists in the National Curriculum which consist of combined word lists for years 3 and 4 and for years 5 and 6. I separated these by difficulty to create lists for each year group. The words for reception to year 2 are from the National Literacy Strategy.
