Twynham School is an exceptionally special place; a school which believes in the unlimited potential of every child, where people are valued above all and ultimately a place where every child can be successful. Our long-tradition of success is built on two vital pillars; high quality teaching and learning and, most importantly, the value we place on the very special relationships between students and staff.

I feel incredibly honoured to lead such a remarkable school. At Twynham we care about the individual and pride ourselves in the warmth of our community in which all of our students feel valued. Of course examination results matter and at Twynham our students consistently achieve excellent results in all areas giving them access to far-reaching opportunities. However this is just one aspect of Twynham and students are supported to show ambition both within and beyond the classroom.

Curriculum

Underpinning our philosophy of being ‘ambitious for all our students’ is a broad, balanced, relevant and exciting curriculum which ensures continued progression and development, both academic and personal. We hope that it will enable students to leave school with strong morals, a tolerant and enquiring mind and a positive, well-rounded outlook.

Teaching School

Two Rivers Institute is the new name for Twynham Teaching School. Our drivers are quality, value and a research informed approach to professional practice in schools. Our mission is to facilitate and provide professional learning opportunities for colleagues in both the Twynham Learning family of schools as well as those in the wider educational community spanning Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Dorset and Hampshire.
