This gymanstics pair balances reference sheet and task card set are perfect for your Primary or Secondary Gymnastics Lessons. This resource includes a set of Gymnastics Pair Balances task cards for pairs balances and routines as well as an A4 differentiated visual aid (with around 50 balances) students can use to copy the paired balances from.
The tasks take students through how to match and mirror individual balances and matching and mirroring independently. They also included tasks that use the pair balances resource sheet:
Students select and practice
Find ways of getting into and out of the balances
Linking 2 pair balances together
Developing their own balances from pair or base positions given
Creating a short sequence
The pair balances resource sheet includes balances that are differentiated by colour. Easiest to hardest: Green, Yellow, Red, Purple
I would only suggest purple and red to those that are really competent gymnasts and have done some sports acro before - otherwise support would be required.

An A4 differentiated gymnastics balance task card students can use in a gymnastics lesson on balances or routines to copy the group of 5+ balances from. Easiest to hardest: Green, Yellow, Red , Purple. There is at least one balance for groups of 5, 6, 7, and 8.
I would only suggest purple to those that are really competent gymnasts and have done some sports acro before - otherwise lots of support would be required. I also would suggest support for those attempting red if they do not have a gymnastics background.

This Christmas maths colour by number activity will give students lots of practice of finding the mean, median, mode or range. A fun seasonal activity to engage students before Christmas AND they are still doing work!
Great for a starter/plenary or early finishers. Especially if you want students to practice and consolidate finding averages without using a traditional worksheet.

Christmas maths - tessellations. Christmas themed tessellation activity for students to complete in class or for homework. A great consolidation activity that can engage students at Christmas. This could more than a whole lesson if you get the students to tessellate a design and then also colour it (great for displays!).

Use the order of operations (BIDMAS) to reveal a secret maths joke. Make your students feel like a spy trying to crack a code in a fun and novel way for students to practice the order of operations. This product contains 3 different levels of difficulty: order of operations with multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting - BIDMAS with brackets and the 4 operations - BIDMAS including indices. This will keep students really busy and help them to check their own working as they go. This is perfect for consolidation on the order of operations if you don’t want to use a traditional worksheet.
Each difficulty is colour coded (blue =easy, gold = medium, red = hard).

A comprehensive set of lesson plans for an introductory gymnastics unit, most appropriate for year 6 or lower KS3. The unit covers skills pupils will need to create their own individual gymnastics routines including individual balances, rotations, travelling movements, jumps and compositional aspects. All resources mentioned in the SOW are included in this product – Individual balance resources sheet and task card(Worth £3.50), set balances task card(not available anywhere else), rolls and balances task card, compositional aspects criteria and assessment matrix.
This SOW / set of 6 lesson plans for gymnastics covers the following skills and objectives:
Lesson 1 - Basic shapes - Know and demonstrate the basic shapes in gymnastics and apply them to a variety of different contexts. To develop control, fluency, tension and extension. To understand the compositional aspect of levels.
Lesson 2 Rotations - To accurately replicate a variety of rotations. To know where the axis of rotation are. To apply skills learnt into a sequence
Lesson 3 – Jumps - To accurately replicate a variety of jumps. To apply skills learnt into a sequence
Lesson 4 – Individual balances - To accurately replicate balances individually.
Lesson 5 – Travelling movements - To develop a variety of ways of travelling from one location to another.
Lesson 6 – Composition and assessment - To develop and apply knowledge of compositional aspects.
This SOW was created to save time for busy teachers and is made so teachers with little/no gymnastics experience can teach it just as well as those with lots. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation, maybe watching a few videos before hand or printing out some resources.
The scheme has diagrams, assessment levels, differentiation , teaching points, Assessment for learning/plenary activities, links to videos that show the skill, clear explanations of the tasks and all resources and links to the resources required via the lesson plan. No timings are included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above.

This is a Powerpoint lesson and work booklet on combinations of transformations. Skills covered are combining transformations such as reflections, rotations, enlargements and translations, describing a reflection, translation or rotation and combining transformations and describe the single equivalent transformation .
Time saving resource for busy teachers! You should be able to teach a lesson with hardly any preparation (mainly printing!).
Fully differentiated objectives:
Blue:Combine transformations
Gold:Describe fully a reflection, translation or rotation
Red:Combine transformations and describe the single equivalent transformation
This resource includes:

The PowerPoint includes everything you need to teach combinations of transformations, including animated examples. The lessons use the following format:
• Objective and levels
• A “how to teaching portion” with animated examples
• An AfL miniwhiteboard quiz
• Answers to all the booklet questions
• Plenary (with answers)
The powerpoint and booklet are currently set up for GCSE maths grade, however you can edit the grades to reflect KS3 or your own schools assessment criteria. In the word booklet if you change any grade (e.g the blue section) it should automatically change the rest of that colour into the same grade.
This will take up a whole lesson (between 45mins to 1h 15 dependent on how many questions the students get through)
Differentiated worksheets on Enlargements for students to complete in class. Skills include positive enlargements, negative enlargements and fractional enlargements all colour coded for difficulty.
This is most suitable for Challenging KS3 students and Higher Tier GCSE. I also have a one suitable for KS3 and Foundation tier which only includes positive and fractional scale factors (The questions are different on each version so if you buy both products there are no duplicates).
In this product 4 levels of difficulty have been included:
Blue (easy) -Enlarge an object by an integer scale factor from a centre of enlargement
Gold (medium) -Enlarge an object by a fractional scale factor from a centre of enlargement.
Red (hard) -Enlarge and object by a negative scale factor from a centre of enlargement
Purple (challenging) Describe fully an enlargement; work out a scale factor and centre of enlargement.

This Christmas/Holiday maths one step equations maze will give students practice with their solving equations skills. A great seasonal activity to engage students this Christmas. Great for a starter or early finishers near Christmas. Especially if you want students to practice and consolidate solving equations without using a traditional worksheet. The maze uses positive values of x only.
This activity is great because students can check their own answers as they go through and most of the time, they don’t realise they are answering multiple questions.
